FINE ART NOUVEAU MAJORELLE MARBLE TOP SIDEBOARD.

Louis Majorelle (French, 1859-1926). Rectangular case with bowfront and molded edges fitted with an insert pink breschia inset marble, additionally fitted with a shaped splash-guard with D-form shelf raised on incurved carved and molded supports centering a paneled back. The cased fitted with aligned drawers; each with a cast brass handle above three supports, all joined to an open medial shelf above a pair of bowed molded cabinet doors. The whole on a shaped and molded plinth designed in the wheat pattern. Sideboard retains original key. SIZE: 59″ t. Work surface is 39″ t. Overall 51″ w x 19-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Working surface with minor nicks and shallow scratches. Early, if not original polished surfaces with good patina. Very good overall. 51966-4 (4,000-6,000) – Lot 1512
