HONEY BREATH MINT DISPENSER.

Wagner & Miller the sole agents in Eastern Ohio for this machine but it was manufactured by Gravity Vending Machine Company in the earlier part of the 20th Century. This particular machine had four cascading glass tubes that held the breath mints. A most simplistic mechanism the breath mints would roll down to the bottom and when a coin was deposited they would be dispensed through the front. This particular machine was also very susceptible to damage to the delicate glass tubes otherwise virtually maintenance free. A large original decal on front glass of a lady on either side holding a draped banner with the following lettering “Shoe HONEY BREATH balls 4 for 1¢. This particular machine was the precursor of the slightly later gravity vending machine that only had three tubes and supposedly one of the earliest gumball vendors. Machine has a cast iron base and top with four columns all of which are nickel plated and the four columns containing plate glass windows. Castings are nickel plated and overall this is a very nice, clean, all original machine. SIZE: Approx 7-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ x 13-1/2” t. CONDITION: Some typical darkening and loss to nickel plating but uniform and not offensive. Some chipping to bottom of plate glass panels on front and left side. 1-14915 (4,000-6,000) – Lot 1510
