ART NOUVEAU CARVED LADY’S BOUDOIR CHAIR BY GALLIARD.

Eugene Gaillard (French, 1862-1933) French last quarter 19th century. The molded back frame in-curved with three over-upholstered panels all within molded borders. The curved wings continuing to in-curved molded supports centering a conforming over-upholstered seat. The back panels and seat all with brass tacked borders. The shaped seat rail with carved foliate tendrils within a border raised on slightly outswept molded frontal legs and backswept rear legs. SIZE: Height of back: 35″. Height of seat: 17″. Overall width: 24-1/2″. CONDITION: Chair retains original surface with dark patina. Dusty blue velvet fabric intact with only minor wear and staining. Chair frame remains tight.
