Oil on panel Housed in a walnut frame Signature inscribed lower left “g.b. tate” Note: Gayle Tate is known for trompe l’oeil. This fantasy work depicts a painting supposedly from the Metropolitan Museum of Art that has been damaged by fire. The artist has used his own landscape and dated it “4-3-79 / Rathbone” SIZE: 9″ x 12″. Overall: 12-3/4″ x 15-1/2″.
