FINE MODEL 1836 US MARTIAL FLINTLOCK PISTOL.

SN NSN. Cal. 54. This is a very nice priginal, authentic & complete example of an 1842 dated Robert Johnson, Middleton, CT. contract single shot pistol. This gun conforms to the normal configuration with overall length of about 14″ with 8-1/2″ smooth bore bbl. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Bbl is well marked “U.S. / JCB / P” with moderate to heavy pitting. Backstrap and trigger guard have matching color to bbl with moderate pitting. Lock is crisp with traces of case colors. Screws and lock parts are crisp and smooth. Stock is sound and solid with crisp fine cartouches.
