EARLY AMERICAN MILITIA-STYLE FLINTLOCK PISTOL.SN NSN. Cal. .69. 9″ bbl, brown finish, appears to be orig flintlock ignition, brass trigger guard with arrowhead finial, wooden ramrod. Bbl shows Birmingham proof marks at breech end. Stock is inscribed “BW” over “1805” behind bbl tang. “JS” is carved into left side of stock by lock screw. CONDITION: Very good for a pistol this age. Bbl has an even uncleaned dark brown patina overall. Lock has a dark black mottled finish overall. Trigger guard has a mellow deep brass patina overall somewhat polished behind the TG with some dents behind trigger guard. Trigger guard appears bent. Stock is uncleaned with mellow aged appearance, some slight cracking on left side near lock screw and in front of lock on right side. A few chips are missing at tail of lock.
