WEBB CAMEO SCENT BOTTLE.

Webb scent bottle has blue cameo decoration at neck and base with blue cameo handles on each side, all against a mottled white background. Unsigned. The scent bottle is pictured in a group of scent bottles in the book Nineteenth Century Cameo Glass by Geoffrey W. Beard, page 142, plate XXIV. In the description of the photograph it is listed “Selection of cameo and enamel cased scent bottles produced at Webb’s by Daniel & Lionel Pierce.” From the collection of Dorothy & Lionel Pierce. SIZE: 2-14″ t. CONDITION: A small flake to top rim, otherwise very good. There is no lid present and the photograph in the book shows the scent bottles without lids. 51962-16 (600-900) – Lot 1495
