Early 19th century. England. Constructed in oak, having 4 tapered legs and a dovetail drawer, with book press top. Press was constructed with heavy maple cross member supported by 2 dovetail uprights with maple hand threaded press mechanism and oak press board. SIZE: 15″ x 26″ x 52-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good overall, with some worm holes and minor losses to old varnished finish, having old spline repair to drying crack on press-board. 9-96535 (800-1,200) – Lot 1494
