HANDEL OBVERSE PAINTED SCENIC TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has obverse painted dome shade with winter scene of barren trees and snow covered ground with a shaded orange to yellow to blue sky giving the feel of sunset in woods. All against a chipped ice background. Shade is signed on interior “Handel Co. (what appears to be 5944)” as well as “Handel” on the shade ring. Shade rests on Handel base with round pedestal foot and simple stem, leading to 2 socket cluster and fleur-de-lis cap. Base is finished in dark brown and is signed on underside in raised block letters “Handel”. SIZE: Shade 14-7/8″ dia. Lamp 21-3/4″ t. CONDITION: Shade very good to excellent. Base is very good to excellent with some wear to finish on heat cap, re-wired with appropriate cloth cord. 49776-2 (1,000-1,500) – Lot 1491
