18th century, England. Unusually small mahogany shaped top card table with straight slightly curved legs terminating in pad feet with buttons under, the back two legs swing out to support the leaf revealing a carved dish top with a secret locking compartment for game pieces. There are pull out candle shelves on both ends. Constructed of mahogany with oak secondary wood. SIZE: 14″ x 26″ x 28-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good, with good old finish, cracks with screws added in the support of the swivel out back legs. 9-94842 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1491
