UNUSUAL B.G.I. BOWIE KNIFE.

UNUSUAL B.G.I. BOWIE KNIFE. 8-3/8″ clip point blade marked “B.G.I. Co/BRIDGEPORT CONN /No 561”. This is unusual in that the scales and crossguard of the grip have been installed upside down so that the cutting edge is up when the handle is gripped. CONDITION: Blade is bright with scattered light pitting and one heavy spot at the tip. Traces of plating remain on the crossguard. There is a small crack at the front of the right scale.
