DAHLGREN BAYONET. 12″ blade marked “U.S.N./D.R/1863” on the right ricasso with Ames marks on the left. “DR” inspector mark on the pommel. Frog is marked “U.S.N.Y./BOSTON/U S 65.” on the reverse. There is a single “R” inspector initial on the attaching button of the scabbard. CONDITION: Nice patina on the brass. Blade has light surface rust. All surfaces are heavily greased.
