HANDEL PARROT HANGING GLOBE.

Handel hanging globe; model 7091 is obverse painted with a colorful parrot setting atop a flowering plant with brown textured stem and leaves with blue and amber flowers. Parrot motif repeats itself on opposite side of globe and the additional sides are decorated with the same flowering plant running from bottom to top of globe. All set against a chipped ice gold iridescent ground. Globe is fitted with original Handel hardware with stamped metal tassel at bottom. Chain is not original and there is no ceiling cap. Unsigned. Globe is pictured in the book The Handel Lamps Book by Hibel, Hibel & Fontaine, pg. 122. SIZE: 21″ t from top of cap to bottom of tassel. Globe is 9″ dia. CONDITION: Globe is very good to excellent, hardware has some wear and discoloration to finish, metal tassel has separated seam at the top. 49698-19 (1,750-3,250) – Lot 1485
