FAKE CIVIL WAR PRESENTATION SWORD. 20th Century blade has Horstmann markings etched on the right side below the stand-of-flags. Silver standing liberty on the grip is crudely embossed and the flying eagle guard is poorly finished. Scabbard, made without a seam, engraved “Presented to/Wm.MackayPorter/from his True Friends in England for Service/with the 3rd Mass.Cavalry, July, 1865”. CONDITION: Artificially aged.
