ASSEMBLED “CONFEDERATE” PRESENTATION SWORD. 35″ dbl fuller blade is marked “MILLAR/DAYVILLE/N.Y.” on the left ricasso and “US/C.E.W/1862” on the right. Germanic hilt has a dog’s head pommel. Iron scabbard with brazed lower seam has a 3-pce brass mountings, the upper of which is engraved “Lt. G.A.Williams/Co. E. 10th Regt./Tenn. Cav.”. The authenticity of none of these elements is guaranteed. CONDITION: Blade is evenly covered with light spots of rust stains. Iron part of the scabbard has live rust. Brass is all nicely patinated.
