REVOLUTIONARY PERIOD OFFICERS OR COURT SWORD. Marked “BSB.” at the base of the 33-5/8″ triangular blade. Steel hilt is decorated with raised bosses on the rear of the 3-1/2″ oval crossguard and light file marks on the oct. steel grip. CONDITION: Retains traces of gold in the engraved decorations at the base of the blade, otherwise smooth gray appearance. Crossguard has a brazed repair across the middle which appears to be of the period. FS761 4-47562 (1,500-2,500)
