SN 8874. Cal. 7.65 PARA. Crown in proof with 3-3/4″ bbl, blue finish overall with checkered walnut grip panels. “DWM” in script marking on toggle. Finnish crest with “VANKEINHOITOLAITOS” marked over chamber indicating property of Finnish Department of Corrections. This handgun #8874 is pictured on p. 114 of The Luger Book by John Walter. Complete with proper magazine with Finnish manufactured wood base. Matching numbers throughout. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Very good overall, with a reasonable amount of blue finish remaining as Finnish handguns were heavily used and reissued repeatedly. This gun has nice bore and mechanics and very good grips with no chips or material loss whatsoever. An extremely scarce variation with an interesting history and nicely pictured in John Walters fine book, “The Luger Book”. 49829-83 TDW (3,500-5,500) C&R – Lot 1474
