SCARCE COLLECTOR’S LOT OF JAMES REID MODEL NO. 2 & MODEL NO. 4 PISTOLS.SN 2598/2652. 1) .31/.32 cal dual ignition revolver for rim-fire and percussion. Six-shot rd cylinder, rare 8″ octagon bbl., spur trigger, 2-pc walnut grips. The butt with aftermarket lanyard ring. This revolver has a spring loaded shell extractor under the bbl. This is a rare and hard to find revolver. 2) Model-2 low hump revolver .32 cal. 5-1/2″ octagon bbl. Extractor on right side of frame. 6-shot cylinder. Spur trigger. 2-pc walnut grips. Orig lanyard ring in butt. Loading gate on right side of frame. Crowned muzzle. PROVENANCE: The Carmen Gianforte Collection. CONDITION: 1) Very good overall condition. All metal retains a gray patina with traces of orig blue finish. Grips rate very good with small grain separations at butt. Approx 40% varnish remains on grips. Mechanics are excellent and crisp.
