QUEZAL HOOKED FEATHER VASE.

Extremely fine Quezal vase has gold iridescent hooked feather decoration extending upward from the foot against a rich iridescent green background. A row of pulled hooks surround the shoulder of the vase leading to a gold iridescent neck and lip. The green and gold iridescence on the bottom half of the vase show very strong purple highlights while the gold iridescence on the upper half of the vase show strong green highlights. Marked within the polished pontil “Quezal” with an engraved scroll beneath the signature. SIZE: 4″ t x 5-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: Linda Southworth Collection.
