C MYRON CLARK (American, 1858-1925) BRIDGE IN THE FENS, BOSTON.

Oil on canvas Housed in an ornate period giltwood frame Signed and dated lower right “C Myron Clark 1907”; together with a framed antique photograph of the bridge Note: The painting, depicting a bridge located in the Boston park known as the “Fens”, was commissioned by the grandparents of the current owner in 1907. The child standing on the bridge in the photograph is purportedly the grandfather. The Fens is a park between the Museum of Fine Arts and Fenway Park originally designed by landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted to serve as a link to the Emerald Necklace park system. SIZE: 18″ x 24″.
