Manufactured by Merwin & Bray in mid-1860’s. Known to collectors as the Pocket Model Plant. Front-loading Pocket Revolver. 3-1/2″ oct ribbed bbl, brass frame, frame mounted ejector, rosewood grips with square butt. 3) Cal. .22 RF. SN 21712. 2-1/4″ oct bbl, Forehand & Wadsworth Side Hammer .22. 7-shot cylinder, iron frame, spur trigger, walnut grips. 4) Cal. .22 RF. SN 2610. Forehand & Wadsworth Single Shot Derringer. 2″ part rnd bbl, bbl swivels sideways to load, no provisions for sights, iron frame, walnut grips. Includes collector’s notes. 5) Cal. .32 RF Lombard Single Shot Derringer. SN 27. 3-1/2″ oct bbl, bbl pivots to right for loading, brass frame, walnut grips. 6) Cal. .32 RF. SN 9297. Marlin Model #32 Standard 1875, 3″ rnd tip-up bbl, 5-shot fluted cylinder, spur trigger, rosewood birds head grips. 7) Cal. .22 RF. SN 900. 2-1/2″ bbl, Challenger #1. Post front sight, no rear sight. Non-fluted cylinder with rectangle stops. Rosewood grips. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: 1) 80% bright orig nickel. Rosewood grips are in very good condition. Non-functioning action. 2) Bbl and cylinder have flaked and worn to 20% blue. Frame shows mostly brass with traces of nickel. Rosewood grips are in good condition. Bore is good. 3) Nickel finish 60% with flaking and wear. Grips are in good condition. Bore is fair. Will not stay cocked. 4) 70% nickel with light flaking. Fired blue hammer and trigger in fair condition. Grips are in good condition. Bore is dark. 5) Bbl has turned mostly brown with age. Frame of smooth brass with light marks. Grips are in good condition. Bore is fair. 6) 40% nickel turning dull with age. Grips are in good condition. Bore is fair. 7) 60% bright nickel. Cylinder has flaking and wear.
