LOT OF FOUR ANTIQUE MARLIN HANDGUNS WITH WEXEL & DeGRESS METAL GRIPS.

SN 2883. 1) OK SINGLE SHOT DERRINGER. Cal 32 RF. SN 2883. Silver & blue with 3″ oct to rnd bbl with German silver front sight & usual markings. Bbl is blued & the brass frame is silver plated. Grips have an ancient warrior bust on right side. 2) XX STANDARD MODEL 1873. Cal 22 Short. SN 282. Nickel finish with 3″ keyhole bbl, usual markings & engraving with 7-shot fluted cyl and mounted with gold washed Wexel & DeGress metal grips. 3) LITTLE JOKER SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal 22 Short. SN 870. Nickel finish with 2-3/16″ flat sided bbl & half moon front sight. Cyl is unfluted & has 7 chambers & it is mounted with gold washed Wexel & DeGress metal grips that have ancient warriors bust on right side. Frame is engraved with scallop patterns on top strap & border patterns on the bbl with foliate arabesque patterns on cyl. 4) CASED XX STANDARD MODEL 1872. SN 8817. Cal 32 RF Short. Silver & gold finish with 3″ ribbed bbl & short fluted cyl mounted with silver finish Wexel & DeGress metal grips. Revolver has standard engraving with gold washed cyl, hammer, trigger & ejector pin. Bbl & frame are silver finished. Accompanied by an unusual, orig, burgundy velvet lined, black paper covered case that has embossed cherub in the center top surrounded by flowers & vines. Clasp on front is silver plated metal. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: 1) Very good to fine, matching. Bbl retains about 60% thin blue with one area of pitting. Frame retains about 60% silver. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore. Grips are fine showing finish loss. Grip locator pin is missing. 2) Very good to fine. Bbl retains about 95% orig nickel and the frame about 50% silver. Grips retain most of the orig gold wash. Bbl/frame hinge shows wear. Mechanics are fine. Strong bright bore with scattered light pitting. 3) About fine. Bbl retains about 85% orig nickel & the frame about 60%. Cyl is cleaned metal patina. Grips retain about 50% orig gold wash, stronger on right side. Hand is missing, otherwise mechanics are fine. Worn dark bore. 4) Revolver is fine showing most of a fully restored finish.
