SIX AUTOMOTIVE PENNY TOYS.The first vehicle being a fanciful limousine with even a simulated crank at the front radiator. Vehicle has a star on the engine hood and was made by Fischer. Car overall is in very fine plus with slightly heavier wear to exterior of wheel rims. An interesting note: the interior of the wheels had a different litho finish which obviously was for some other toy and instead Fischer utilized and re-stamped the tin to use the wheels. Typical of European as well as American manufacturers of the time when they changed their minds or needed supplies they would use existing materials even if originally intended for other purposes. Second vehicle is a somewhat elongated open touring car of unknown manufacture but possibly by Fischer. Third vehicle is a fanciful limousine with die cut figures in the rear passenger section. Most likely this vehicle was made by Distler. Fourth vehicle is a somewhat simplistic limousine made by Fischer. Fifth vehicle is a wonderful open aired touring car with chauffeur & passenger by Meier. This toy is in virtually very fine plus original condition but slight wear to left side of passenger. Sixth vehicle also made by Fischer is an open truck with elongated open bed & simulated crank at the radiator. SIZE: Varies 3-1/4″ to 6″ l. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: Overall fine to very fine unless stated above. 1-14629-1 (750-950) – Lot 1449 Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll Auction - Fall 2014 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
