LOT OF THREE SMITH & WESSON OLD MODEL 1-1/2 SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVERS.SN 57296. Cal 32 RF. All three revolvers are nickel finished with 3-1/2″ keyhole shape bbl, half moon front sight with 5-shot fluted cyl & spur triggers. 1) SN 57296. Factory engraved with about 80% coverage, fine foliate arabesque patterns on frame & bbl. Cyl is engraved to match. Mounted with period of use replacement smooth “certifiable antique elephant ivory” grips that have the No. “39809” inside right grip. 2) SN 48207. Plain finish with gold washed Wexel & DeGress metal grips that have an ancient warrior on the right side. 3) SN 98272. Factory engraved with usual patterns on the frame, a hunter’s star at top of backstrap & unusual square & dot patterns down the sides of the bbl, probably from the Nimschke shop. Mounted with nickel finish Wexell & DeGress metal grips that have an ancient warrior on right side. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. Overall retains about 95% strong orig nickel showing very little use. Right grip has a chipped heel, otherwise very sound with a fine ivory patina. Mechanics are fine. Strong bright bore with a few spots of pitting. 2) About very good, all matching. Retains about all of a restored nickel finish on frame & bbl. Cyl retains about 65-70% orig nickel. Grips show about 80% orig gold wash with light wear. Mechanics are fine. Strong bore with moderate to heavy pitting. 3) Fine, frame & bbl are matching, solder is unmarked and may be a replacement. Frame retains about 95% orig nickel & the bbl about 90%. Cyl retains about 85% orig nickel. Grips retain about 75% orig nickel showing light wear.
