SN 4364. Cal. 9mm. 4″ bbl with Eagle/135 proof and 4 digit SN on bottom. “42” above chamber (manufactured in 1942). “byf” on center toggle link (manufactured by Mauser). Eagle/135 proofs on right receiver. Right checkered walnut grip is unnumbered, and left grip is mismatched. Other numbers on gun are matching down to firing pin. Mag is aluminum bottom Eagle/655 proofed ordnance replacement that is numbered to match and appears to have been done by a German armorer during the war. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% orig blue that is fading in areas and has normal wear on edges and corners. Grips are lightly worn and darkened from oil. Bore is bright and sharp. Mechanics are fine. Mag has appropriate wear. 49829-63 BWS (1,500-2,500) C&R – Lot 1445
