Please Note: The catalogs states the shade is unsigned which is incorrect. It is signed “Handel Co #2297” on the exterior rim.

EARLY HANDEL TABLE LAMP.

Early Handel table lamp has dome shade decorated with a green spotted lizard on front and back with stylized green vegetation against a multicolored swirling lightly iridescent background. Unsigned. Shade rests on a brass base with four flaring peacock feathers making up the foot and stem of the base. Three simple arms extend to support the shade ring. Base has a bright polished brass finish. Base is stamped on the underside but is very hard to read, looks like “J. Handel”. SIZE: Shade 11-1/2″ dia at widest. 10″ fitter. Lamp 19″ t. CONDITION: Shade has some minor roughness to the fitter, otherwise very good to excellent. Shade ring on base has come loose from arms and there is a glue repair where the spider arms meet the stem. 43784-25 (4,000-6,000) – Lot 1445
