LEADED GLASS NAUTILUS SHELL TABLE LAMP.

Leaded glass table lamp attributed to J.A. Whaley Co. has skirt decorated with beautiful white lightly opalescent nautilus shell design. Each shell is surrounded by shaded green leaves all set against light blue background creating an irregular border. Shade is finished with geometric top of green slag glass. Shade rests on cast bronze base with acanthus leaf decoration adorning stem and base is complete with four light cluster, stamped brass cap and cast bronze finial. Base and shade are unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 18-1/2″ dia. Lamp is 25″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with very few inconspicuous tight hairlines. Base is very good with minor wear and discoloration to patina, cap is most likely replacement. Re-wired with appropriate cloth cord. 50489-14 (3,500-4,500) – Lot 1442
