HANDEL EXOTIC BIRD TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has reverse painted shade with brightly colored exotic birds in flight on front and back of shade. Birds plumage is done in bright blues, greens, yellows and white. Birds are flying against a red background with random areas of colorful flowers in blue, white and yellow against a shaded dark background of leaves. Exterior of shade is finished in chipped ice. Shade is signed on top of metal shade ring “Handel Lamps” and rests on original decorated base with stylized leaf design bordering the foot and additional stylized leaf and flower design encircling the stem. Base is finished with three socket cluster and fleur de lis heat cap. Signed on the underside with impressed signature “Handel”. SIZE: Shade 17-3/4″ dia. Lamp 24-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good to excellent with some wear and discoloration to finish. Rewired with contemporary plastic cord. 1106-3 (7,000-10,000) – Lot 1438
