COLT MODEL 1863 MUSKET. NSN. Cal. .58, 40″ round bbl. Dated 1863 at the rear of the lock, 1864 on the bbl. The cartouches are partially visible but not readable. CONDITION: All metal surfaces have been polished, removing part of the markings, a dull gray patina mixed with spotty surface rust and pitting remains. Wood has been sanded rounding the edges and then re-oiled. Action is good. 4-46973 FS497 (1,500-2,500)
