SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 CIVIL WAR CARBINE.

SHARPS NEW MODEL 1863 CIVIL WAR CARBINE. SN 87687. Cal. 52. 22″ round bbl. Rear sight, sling ring bar, ring and most screws are replacements. Lever pin retainer has been removed and a screw from each side added. Bbl band is from an 1855 or 1861 musket. Lever catch is original Sharps but not for this gun. CONDITION: Moderate pitting over all; heavier on the breech. A large fracture in the wood starting at the comb and running towards the buttplate has been re-glued and nailed. There are other chips and repairs to the stock. Priming mechanism is missing. 4-47236 FS685 (800-1,200)
