HANDEL OBVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has dome shade with obverse painted band of classical design surrounding shade edge with cornucopia, stylized flowers and fleur-de-lis designs against black background with gilded scroll outlines. Decorative band is set against mottled yellow and brown background and chipped ice finish. Signed on interior lip “Handel Co.” artist initial “S” and “6525”. Shade rests on an original Handel base with chipped ice design encircling foot and body leading to smooth vertically ribbed riser supporting two socket cluster and pierced heat cap. Base is finished with dark brown patina and green highlights. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 23-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Shade has some very minor roughness to bottom rim, otherwise very good to excellent. Base is very good with some minor wear to finish.
