HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has dome shade with reverse painted band of orange flowers and green entwining vines encircling the side of shade. Flowers, vines and leaves are further decorated with outlines and details on obverse. All set against yellow acid textured background. Signed on interior rim “Handel 6956”. Shade rests on an original Handel base with Oriental design openwork foot and bulbous body leading to riser which supports three socket cluster and pierced heat cap. Base is finished in dark brown. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 17-3/4″ dia. Lamp is 24″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good with some minor blistering to finish. Re-wired with appropriate cloth cord. 50489-16 (2,250-2,750) – Lot 1415
