VERY FINE GALLAGER CIVIL WAR CARBINE. SN 14353. Cal. .54, 22-1/4″ bbl. Standard markings on lockplate. CONDITION: 90% bright blue on bbl with scattered spots of light surface rust and some scratches. Case-hardening on the lock and action is bright on the right side, fading slightly on the left. No inspector marks. Wood is slightly oil-soaked. Patchbox retains about 80% of the blue with some areas of flaking and light surface rust. Action is very tight. FS870 4-47542 (2,500-3,500)
