*◊ SCARCE MAUSER C96, PRE-WAR BOLO, 9MM EXPORT.

SN 78202. Cal. 9MM. Standard late configuration Pre-war Bolo with a 4″ bbl and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight over the assembly number “865”. Short extractor, 2-lug firing pin, small ring hammer. Usual chamber markings and 2-line address on right side of frame. Wood walnut Bolo grips with fine serrations. Lanyard ring present. Disassembly shows all matching serial numbers including the rear sight bar. Proofed but unnumbered follower is dished for the 9mm cartridge. Nicely fitting unnumbered replacement grips. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Over 99% refinished rust blue. Approximately 95% orig fire blue on cursor. 70% orig fire blue on bolt stop and strawed trigger. Condition of replacement grips complimentary to balance of pistol. Dull bore with no discernible rifling. Other than sluggish bolt return, perfect manual mechanics. Mauser made very few Bolos in 9mm Export. 49829-139 LMA (1,250-2,500) C&R – Lot 1408
