GREENE BREECH LOADING CARBINE. SN. 421. Cal. .54, 18″ mostly round bbl. Crown over “V x R” on lockplate behind hammer. “U.S.A. 1856” has been added to the lock marking. Various British military proof marks are on other parts. CONDITION: 60% blue on breech, strong traces elsewhere. All mixed with light to moderate pitting and signs of cleaning. Stock has been repaired around the lock and shows some light sanding in that area. Otherwise, normal dents and scratches. FS811 4-47544 (2,000-3,000)
