SN 29262. Cal. 7.63MM. Standard early configuration Pre-war Bolo with 4″ bbl having fixed front sight and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight. Long extractor, single lug firing pin, large ring hammer. Usual chamber markings. 2-line Mauser address on the right side of the frame. Finely serrated wood grips. Lanyard ring present. All major parts are salt blued. The extractor, cursor, bolt stock, and safety are fire blued. Trigger is strawed. Disassembly shows a later, un-numbered replacement follower and an un-numbered floorplate. All other parts are matching except the grips that have each been repaired with 2 circular insertions and numbered “82”. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Over 99% refurbished salt blue. Most of the fire blue on the extractor, cursor, and sight bar have aged to a purple tone. Lesser condition replacement grips suggest previously heavy use.
