*◊ VERY FINE MAUSER C96 LARGE RING WITH MATCHING STOCK.SN 31173. Cal. 7.63mm Mauser. Very nice large ring shallow milled with C96 standard 5-1/2″ bbl, long extractor 50 to 1000 graduated rear sight and single lug firing pin. Top of chamber with usual 3-line Mauser address. SN 31173 on left receiver flat. Crown/Crown U on left side of receiver, antler acceptance on right side. No Mauser address on right frame as typical for the early shallow milled pistols. Major components are rust blued. The extractor appropriate components of the sight assembly, bolt stop , safety are fire blue. Trigger is strawed. Matching SNs on the sight bar, bolt stop, firing pin, hammer, sub-frame, locking lever, and frame. Detailed assembly shows all matching parts. Wood grips with serrated panels each fully matched with number 31173 lanyard ring present accompanied by its original matching number walnut stock/holster. Manufactured in 1902. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Fine overall, with most original rust blue present. Excellent bore and mechanics. Finish rather thin on front and rear straps of grip.
