CHARMING TURN OF LAST CENTURY PULL TOY HORSES.

This equestrian themed lot consists of two handsome horses on wheels. The first is circa 1910, standing, unjointed, and made from short brown mohair. He has a white mohair forehead blaze and front feet, and a black woolen mane and tail. His face is detailed with black shoebutton eyes, velvet lined ears, and a simple black embroidered nose and mouth. He rides upon four metal wheels. He retains his original red blanket which is trimmed in white rick-rack. His IDs have been lost to time. The second horse is circa 1921 and manufactured by Steiff. He is standing, unjointed, and made from rust brown felt. He has a white felt forehead blaze and a black woolen mane and tail. His face is detailed with black and brown glass pupil eyes, felt ears, and traces of black highlighting. He rides upon four red regular wooden wheels. He retains his original saddle, blanket, and partial reins. His IDs have been lost to time. SIZE: 9″ h and 8″ h respectively. PROVENANCE: A fine New England collection. CONDITION: As noted. Mohair horse with gentle playwear and dust, otherwise good to very good. Felt horse with a few minor holes, losses to ears, dust, and very light general losses.
