SN 12968NF. Cal .44 SPEC, 5-1/2″ bbl, blue and case color finish. Adjustable target sights, 2-pc Staghorn grips. Bbl has 1-line address on top and Colt New Frontier SAA cal mark on left side. Bbl has correct ramp style front sight. Frame has 2-line patent mark on forward left side with Rampant Colt logo without a circle to the right. Frame is of the flat top variety with rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation. SN matches on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cyl has last 4 digits of SN stamped on front face and no. 448 stamped on rear face. Loading gate is unmarked. Grips have “Colt” in pencil on the inside. Right grips says “AJAX Grip” and a no. 1 in red. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl and ejector rod retain 95% blue finish, that is slightly faded with some muzzle wear on the left side of bbl. Frame retains 95% case color finish with sharp markings. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 95% orig blue turning somewhat plumb with some small scratches overall. Hammer and trigger retain nearly all of the orig blue. Screws are good with most of their orig blue. Cyl retains 95% blue finish with slight edge wear, striations, and a slight drag mark. Grips are very good with nice figure and no cracks or chips.
