OUTSTANDING TURN OF LAST CENTURY WHITE STEIFF TEDDY BEAR.

A beautiful and traditional soft and hard stuffed 5-ways jointed white mohair Steiff teddy bear. This circa 1907 treasure has classic early proportions including long arms, a pronounced back hump, long narrow feet, and light peach colored felt paw pads with four brown claws on each paw. His pensive looking face is detailed with black shoebutton eyes and a brown hand-embroidered nose and mouth. With a non-working side squeaker. Bear’s IDs have been lost to time. SIZE: 15″ h standing; 11″ h sitting. PROVENANCE: From a fine collection. CONDITION: Very light mohair thinning, especially on back side of bear. Paws slightly dusty with a few pin sized holes.
