*3RD GENERATION COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH STAGHORN GRIPS.

SN 88691SA. Cal .45 COLT, 4-3/4″ bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc Staghorn grips. Bbl has standard 1-line address on the top and Colt SAA cal mark on left side. Front sight is of the thick high type. Frame has 2-line patent mark on the forward left side with rampant Colt logo, with no circle to the right. SN matches on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Last 4 digits of SN is stamped on front face of cyl. Grips have “AJAX Grips” marked on inside of right grip. Grips have gold Colt style medallions. Also included are a set of checkered hard rubber grips that are numbered to this revolver. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to excellent. Bbl and ejector rod housing retain nearly all of the orig blue finish, with very slight edge wear. Markings are sharp. Front sight is full sized. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Frame retains nearly all of the orig case color finish. Hammer has a slight scratch on left side but otherwise has all the finish. Trigger and screws also retain nearly all the orig blue finish. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 99% blue with a slight scratch on the left side by the front trigger guard bow and a small stain at the toe of the butt. Cyl retains 99% blue with a very slight drag mark. Chambers are clean. Stag-grips are fine with no losses. Hard rubber grips are also fine. An opportunity to obtain a nearly new 2nd Generation Colt Single Action in a popular cal and bbl length. Manufactured in 1977. 50062-59 TEP C&R (1,250-1,750) – Lot 1373
