SN 138604. 16 Ga. 30″ bbls. 2-1/2″ chambers. Choked: MOD/IMP CYL. Full length matted rib, steel front bead, marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO / ILION NY USA / ORDNANCE”. Double triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Beautifully figured full pistol grip buttstock with 14-3/16″ LOP over modern Decelerator pad with nickel shield in stock. Splinter forearm with Curtis button forearm opener, checkered in 2-point pattern. Buttstock checkered in classic 3-point pattern as typically found on C grade Remington. Receiver nicely scroll engraved with Remington Arms Co in a beautiful banner across both sides, surrounded by scroll. Bottom of receiver and trigger guard are nicely scroll engraved. Forearm iron is also nicely scroll engraved. Screw heads engraved in floral pattern. Weight: 7 lb 6 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 95% factory blue. Receiver retains approx 40% orig case color, starting to tone throughout. Top lever and trigger guard retain most of their orig high polished blue. Buttstock and forearm with various light handling marks and scratches, retain most of their orig hand rubbed finish. Mechanics are excellent. Brilliant shiny bores.
