REMINGTON 1889 GRADE 2 HAMMER GUN.

SN 201682. 12 Ga. 28″ twist steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked: MOD/IMP MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead, marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO / ILION NY USA” with dolls head extension. Double triggers, extractors, no safety. Full pistol grip stock with 14″ LOP over Remington Arms Co monogrammed and checkered hard rubber buttplate. Splinter forend and buttstock checkered in classic 2-point checkering. Forend with Deeley latch and horn teardrop tip. Lockplates marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO” on both right and left side. Straight top lever. Weight: 7 lb 11 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain approx 95-98% bold orig vivid twist steel pattern. Receiver retains approx 70-75% bright orig case colors, particular strong on top and sides, starting to tone and turn on bottom of frame. Trigger guard bow and forearm iron retain approx 75% orig case color, starting to tone. Trigger guard tang toned to gray. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and retain 93-95% orig varnish and various light scratches and handling marks throughout, particularly on forearm. Mechanics are excellent.
