STEUBEN EDISON LUMINAIRE.

Rectangular crystal plaque has intaglio bust of Thomas Edison and rests in its original luminaire base with gray metal pillars at each end and silver plated panels between. Front of the luminaire is impressed with an Edison logo “1885 Association Illuminating Co’s.” These luminaire plaques were made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Edison’s invention of the light bulb and were given as gifts to attendees at a banquet given by Henry Ford in Deerborn, Michigan on October 21, 1929 to celebrate Edison’s invention as well as the opening of the Henry Ford Museum. Plaque is signed on the bottom with acid etched fleur de lis mark Steuben Copyright 1929 C.G.W.”. SIZE: Overall is 10-3/4″ t x 8-1/4″ w. Plaque is 6-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.
