SN 1701/51221. Cal. 7x57mm Mauser. Fine American custom rifle based on Winchester pre-64 M70 action SN 51221. 24″ bbl custom Sporter weight marked “No 1701 Griffin & Howe, Inc. New York.” Bolt features jeweled body and extractor, custom safety and two panel checkering on bolt knob. Stippled ramp hooded front sight with folding leaf rear sight and base only for Lyman “48WJS” receiver sight. Leopold M8-4X gloss finish scope with duplex reticle on Redfield 1-pc mount. Classic style Sporter stock with shadow line cheekpiece and straight comb of fine thin shell walnut. Stock features rosewood forearm tip, steel grip cap, swivel bases and German silver presentation plate and toeline. LOP 13-3/4″ over checkered steel buttplate. Weight 9 lb 2.4 oz.
