BEAUTIFUL HIGH CONDITION REMINGTON 1889 GRADE 2 HAMMER GUN.

SN 64543. 12 Ga. 30″ laminated steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choke: MOD/MOD. Full length matted rib with steel front bead, faintly marked (obscured by matting) “REMINGTON ARMS CO ILION NY USA”. Double triggers, ejectors, no safety. Full pistol grip stock with 13-7/8″ LOP over Remington Arms Co hard rubber monogrammed and checkered butt. Splinter forearm with Deeley release with 2-point checkering pattern and horn teardrop tip. Buttstock with classic 2-point checkering. Unengraved receiver with “REMINGTON ARMS CO” stamped on both right and left sides. Weight: 7 lb 8 oz. PROVENANCE: The Estate of B.E. “Andy” Anderson. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain 95-98% bold contrast laminated pattern. Receiver retains 75-80% beautiful case hardened finish. Trigger guard bow and tang retain nearly all of their orig case hardening, starting to tone. Forearm iron retains 35-40% orig case color. Buttstock and forearm retain 90-95% orig varnish with handling marks throughout, a few deeper scratches and finish loss on left side of buttstock. Mechanics are excellent.
