LIMOGES PORTRAIT VASE.

Limoges vase has large central oval medallion with a portrait of a beautiful young woman in a purple gown and cherub looking on, all against a shaded blue, white and red sky. Central medallion is framed by a gilt border of scrolls and flowers with turquoise enameled beaded cross at top and bottom. Remainder of vase is finished in a bright yellow glaze while flaring lip is gilt. Signed on underside “W.G. & Co. Limoges, France”. SIZE: 14″ t.
