18th century, New England. Iron, pine, ash. Great early form, the square, twisted rush light shaft, with rush pincer and down-swept, rounded counterbalance arm with conical, seamed snuffer/candlecup. The round, carved pine post mortise joined to ash X-base. SIZE: 31-1/2″ t. overall.
