*COLT SINGLE ACTION BISLEY MODEL REVOLVER.

SN 289574. Cal. 45 Colt. 5 1/2″ bbl. Blue and case colored finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt medallions. All markings standard for this model. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Grips show a different number and have “BP 1916” scratched on inside of right grip. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 50-60% bright blue finish with most of loss at muzzle and on right side of bbl. Front sight has been slightly trimmed and has a dent. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Ejector rod housing retains 20% blue in protected areas. Frame retains 20% case color in protected areas at front of frame and under loading gate with balance turning silver-gray patina. Patent stamp is sharp. Screws are very good with considerable fire blue. Hammer retains 20% case color especially on back side. Trigger retains 20% fire blue. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 20% blue in protected areas with balance turning a gray-brown patina. Cylinder is a silver-gray patina with a strong drag mark and some blue in the flutes. Chambers are good. Grips are very good with sharp checkering and sharp medallion. Grips are turning brown as is common with this model. Action functions well.
