*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH FULL NICKEL FINISH.

SN 221056. Cal .45 Colt, 5-1/2″ bbl, full nickel finish with full checkered hard rubber grips. Bbl, ejector rod, cyl, base pin, and screws are all post-WWII Colt replacements. Bbl has Colt address on left side. Cal mark on right side. High front sight. Frame has 2-line patent mark on forward left side with rampant Colt in circle to the right. SN matches on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Cyl has rampant Colt stamped on rear face. Cyl, backstrap, and trigger guard have “256” stamped. Grips are unmarked. This revolver is accompanied by a Colt factory letter showing original shipment in 41 Colt caliber, 4-3/4″ bbl, blue finish, with grips not listed. Shipment was to Simmons Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri on January 27, 1902 in a 10 gun shipment. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Fine as totally refinished. Bbl and ejector rod retain 98% nickel finish. Markings are sharp. Frame retains 98% re-nickel finish. Frame markings are sharp. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 98% re-nickel finish. Hammer, screws, and trigger retain 98% re-nickel finish. Cyl retains 95% re-nickel finish with slight dried mark and some staining in front face. Grips are very good with sharp checkering and clear logos. Action needs adjustment. 50062-10 C&R (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1338
